Abstract
“[…] cette extériorité intime, cette extimité […], peut-être ceci éclairera-t-il pour nous ce qui reste encore une question, voire un mystère pour ceux qui s’intéressent à cet art […], c’est à savoir précisément son site, dans une cavité […] dont on s’étonne qu’elle ait été choisie précisément pour les difficultés extrêmes qu’elle devait donner au travail, à l’éclairage pendant le travail et aussi à la prise de vue qu’on suppose en quelque sorte nécessitée par la création même, sur ces parois, d’images saisissantes.”

HOLE is a project realized between 2021 and 2022 in Bologna, in collaboration with the exhibition space Adiacenze. The first phase of the HOLE – Temporary Art Peep Show project was developed during the 2021 lockdown and showcased the works of 24 artists in a collective peephole-art exhibition usable exclusively from outside the space. The second project phase, HOLE to Auction, displayed and auctioned the 24 works of the artists involved on April 30, 2022.

look_at_yourself was presented at Adiacenze gallery in Bologna [IT] from May 28th to June 1st 2021 for the exhibition Hole – Temporary Art Peep Show curated by Tatanka Journal, Andrea Tinterri and Adiacenze. The project is part of Out Of Order contemporary art festival, organized in concert with many active cultural associations in the city of Bologna.
